Olga Novillo:

Es una bióloga especializada en contaminación marina. En su trabajo como investigadora, se ha centrado en estudiar la presencia de microplásticos, plastificantes y pesticidas en grandes vertebrados marinos de la Comunidad Valenciana. Su objetivo es conocer mejor la distribución y magnitud de la contaminación en los ecosistemas para poder proporcionar datos y herramientas útiles   para proteger nuestro patrimonio natural.

She's a biologist specializing in marine pollution. In her work as a researcher, she has focused on studying the presence of microplastics, plasticizers and pesticides in large marine vertebrates of the Valencian Community. Its aim is to better understand the distribution and extent of pollution in ecosystems in order to provide useful data and tools to protect our natural heritage.

Serafín Huertas:

Técnico de educación ambiental en el Centre d’Educació Ambiental de la Comunitat Valenciana, desde donde se ha especializado en educomunicación del cambio climático. Fundador de AVEDAM, la Asociación Valenciana de Educadoras Ambientales, desde la que trata de dignificar el trabajo de Educación Ambiental.

Environmental education technician at the Centre d’Educació Ambiental de la Comunitat Valenciana, where he specialized in climate change and educational communication. Founder of AVEDAM, the Valencian Association of Environmental Educators, from which he tries to dignify the work of Environmental Education.

Andreu Escrivá:

Licenciado en Ciencias Ambientales, máster en Biodiversidad: Conservación y Evolución, y doctor en Biodiversidad. Desarrolló su investigación científica como investigador predoctoral en el Centro de Investigaciones sobre Desertificación (CIDE) y en el Instituto Cavanilles de Biodiversidad y Biología Evolutiva. Actualmente es técnico ambiental y trabaja en proyectos de cambio climático. Desde 2021 es miembro del Grupo de Expertas y Expertos de Emergencia Climática de Barcelona. Colabora con diferentes medios de comunicación de prensa, radio y televisión, como la revista Método, El País, Climática, El Tiempo o Ávila, entre otros. Ganó el XXII Premio Europeo de Divulgación Científica Estudi General con el libro “Todavía no es tarde: claves para entender y detener el cambio climático” (Bromera, 2017; Publicaciones de la Universidad en 2018). Posteriormente ha publicado “Y ahora yo qué hago. Cómo vencer la culpa climática y pasar a la acción” (Capitán Swing, 2020; Sembra, 2021) i “Contra la Sostenibilitat” (Sembra / Arpa, 2023).

Degree in Environmental Sciences, Master in Biodiversity: Conservation and Evolution, and PhD in Biodiversity. He carried out his scientific research as a pre-doctoral researcher at the Center for Research on Desertification (CIDE) and at the Cavanilles Institute of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology. He is currently an environmental technician and works on climate change projects. Since 2021 she has been a member of the Barcelona Climate Emergency Expert Group. He collaborates with different media such as the magazine Método, El País, Climática, El Tiempo and Ávila, among others. He won the XXII Estudi General European Prize for Scientific Dissemination with the book “It is not late yet: keys to understand and stop climate change” (Bromera, 2017; University Publications in 2018). He later published “And now what do I do?. How to overcome climate guilt and take action” (Captain Swing, 2020; Sembra, 2021) i “Contra la Sostenibilitat” (Sembra / Harpa, 2023).

María Sánchez:

DG of Climate Change of the Generalitat Valenciana, is responsible for the elaboration of the Valencian Law of Climate Change and Ecological Transition, as well as the implementation of the Valencian Strategy for Climate Change and Energy. The Environmental Education Center of the Generalitat Valenciana also depends on it. Agricultural engineer, she has worked for nearly twenty years in European affairs, both from Brussels in European institutions and from Valencia, to various entities. In recent years he worked on a European innovation initiative on climate change, EIT Climate-KIC, just before joining the Generalitat Valenciana.

Alejandro Ramón Alvarez:

Concejal de Emergencia Climática y Transición Energética, de Agricultura, Alimentación Sostenible y Huerta y de Cementerios y Servicios Fúnebres. Graduado en Sociología y técnico superior en realización de audiovisuales. Coautor del libro Paraules de terra i fang, con testimonios de personas que viven enraizadas en el medio natural de l’Horta Sud de València, la Marjal y la Albufera. Desde 2015 está vinculado a la política local de la ciudad de València a través de las alcaldías de barrio.

Alejandro Ramón Álvarez, Councillor for Climate Emergency and Energy Transition, Agriculture, Sustainable Food and Vegetable Gardens and Cemeteries and Funeral Services. Graduate in Sociology and advanced technician in audiovisual production.  Co-author of the book Paraules de terra i fang, with testimonies of people who live rooted in the natural environment of l'Horta Sud de València, the Marjal and the Albufera. Since 2015 he has been linked to local politics in the city of Valencia through the neighbourhood mayorships.
